EOS Blockchain[edit | edit source]
The blockchain protocol Upland is based on is EOS.io (not to be confused with the EOS token, which is the cryptocurrency that runs on the EOS blockchain). EOS is a third generation open sourced blockchain that works with a Proof-of-Stake/PoS algorithm (an alternative to a Proof-of-Work/PoW algorithm, with a big difference being that with PoS there is no mining by GPU power). The EOS blockchain is a decentralized infrastructure that allows people to create blockchain based applications, like Upland.
EOS Cryptocurrency[edit | edit source]
The EOS cryptocurrency has nothing to do with Upland. It is not necessary to hold this coin to play Upland.
