There are different player status levels in Upland. Everyone starts out as a visitor, but after that you can level up. Your level is based on your net worth (value of your properties + your available UPX). You upgrade to the next status level by (manually) clicking on the button that appears, once your net worth crosses a specific border. Every player status level comes with its own advantages.
