Creedmoor Hub is a Halloween-themed community in Bellerose Queens, next to the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. Like many old psychiatric institutions, Creedmoor has a dark and complicated history. It was originally founded in 1912 as the farm colony of Brooklyn State Hospital, where mentally ill patients would work the land as part of their treatment. By the 1970s, Creedmoor housed up to 7,000 patients, and it was during this time that overcrowding and understaffing created a dangerous environment for both staff and patients. It was eventually deinstitutionalized. Creedmoor Psychiatric Center still operates today as an outpatient center for a much smaller number of patients, but many of the buildings on the hospital grounds have been abandoned and have fallen into a state of disrepair, becoming a sanctuary for pigeons and squatters.

Creedmoor Hub is located in Bellerose, Queens in the Upland metaverse. It originally consisted of 3 sectors that are adjacent to the southeast side of the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center hospital grounds, located at 7925 Winchester Blvd. The Cross Island Pkwy creates a natural boundary to the right of the sectors. Union Turnpike creates a boundary to the north, with the southern boundary marked by 87th Ave. However, in 2023, leadership decided to expand Creedmoor to all of Bellerose. The original 3 sectors still retain their special value from being located on the Creedmoor racetracks in the heart of the neighborhood, which is featured in a layer 2 game on the UPX World Platform, soon to be released on Steam.

“The Halloween Neighborhood” is how most locals describe Creedmoor Hub in Bellerose, Queens; inside the metaverse Upland. Others call it “uncanny,” and some just say it’s “bizarre.” This is a place where crooked houses and skeletal remains litter the land surrounding an infamous, and now abandoned insane asylum.
Though it holds the coveted title of Queens Curator Collection, it is a psychiatric nightmare of cruelty and death. Its walls bear the marks of its former residents: dark art drawn by the hands of disturbed minds and tortured souls, whose memory lingers, leaving an ominous chill in the air.
Visitors pour into Creedmoor to witness this oddity for themselves: the crooked houses are creepy and loathsome. Strange things wander the streets at night; muffled cries are sometimes heard, and screams echo in the distance as if sounding a desperate warning.
While it might seem better to keep away, this place possesses an uncanny ability to beckon you. Many say that once you receive its call, it draws you in closer and holds you there. No one knows if it’s the haunted race track or the dark art that keeps them there, but one thing is certain: you’ll never know unless you come.
Everyone in Creedmoor, both living and otherwise, extend their sincere invitation, so please consider this your call. They eagerly await your arrival. And, remember: Since you might end up staying a while, you should make your plans accordingly.

Creedmoor Hub is one of the founding nodes of XNET, a premier network of Upland communities with a focus on layer 2 ambitions. Our racetrack was featured in the Creedmoor Halloween Race Spooktacular, a layer 2 race for charity through the spooky streets of Bellerose. This collaboration between Creedmoor, UPX World, URL (Upland Racing League), BUC (Bored Uplander Club), and The Toss-Shak resulted in raising over $5,000 for The Child Mind Institute, which benefits children with learning disabilities and mental illness.
Racing[edit | edit source]
Creedmoor Psych Raceway (CPR) is the name of the racetrack planned for Creedmoor Hub. It consists of a sprint track (E Ward), a circuit track (F Ward), and a drag strip (The Corridor). All three tracks have been sanctioned by Upland Racing League (URL).
